The project consisted of removal and excavation of over 18,000 tonnes of brine impacted soil. Major challenges involved extreme weather fluctuations, intricate excavation logistics, discovery of ruptured pipeline within excavation not belonging to client as well as landowner compliance issues.

Reclamation of tailings sand dyke including the re-contouring of drainage gullies formed by run-off. The trenches required excavator work to smooth out after which seed was placed underneath erosion control matting and then further hyrdoseeded. Challenges included running machinery on extensive slopes as well as cold weather hydro-seeding.
