I.W. Kuhn is a full service environmental contractor with an extensive list of equipment to assist their clients in remediation, reclamation and construction services. 

Based in Alberta, I.W. Kuhn offers a full suite of soil remediation options, working with oil and gas facilities, flare pits, drilling sumps, UST removals, and pipeline breaks.  To facilitate soil remediation, I.W. Kuhn offers on-site treatment of contaminated soil by means of their Twister Soil Remediation Buckets as well as their Microenfractionator TM.  I.W. Kuhn is the only company in Canada to offer its patented Microenfractionator TM soil treatment technology.  This technology allows the application of soil aeration and bioremedial methods to facilitate the accelerated treatment of impacted soils.

In addition to on-site treatment of contaminated soils, I.W. Kuhn also offers landfill disposal that includes excavation, loading, manifesting, hauling, insurance, secure disposal and backfilling. 

To ensure turnkey service, I.W. Kuhn offers specialized seeding and soil erosion equipment and has successfully reclaimed many facilities as well as small and large diameter pipeline projects.

I.W. Kuhn also offers a full equipment package for construction, including lease and access road construction, physical lease clearing, and all associated clean up of the lease sites.  Construction services also include pond and landfill construction, using traditional clay or multilayer HDPE fabricated liners for either storage or treatment of water and soils.  Decommissioning and demolition services are also strengths of the company.

Kuhn realizes that there are inherent differences between cultures and we believe that listening, trust and mutual respect are vital in establishing effective team based decision-making.

I.W. Kuhn is committed to establishing meaningful, enduring and mutually beneficial relationships with the Aboriginal peoples and to supporting, promoting and encouraging measures to identify specific development and involvement opportunities for Aboriginal businesses.

I.W. Kuhn intends to work with Aboriginal businesses and organizations on a reclamation, remediation and construction projects.  We believe that participation by Aboriginal peoples and communities in economic and learning opportunities can increase the well-being of Aboriginal individuals, improve local social services and health programs, and enhance the success of Aboriginal businesses.

To achieve this, I.W. Kuhn is promoting  networking and strategic alliances among Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal businesses.  We are encouraging subcontractors to utilize Aboriginal businesses and working to bring together Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal firms to bid for and execute projects.  We are striving to increase the benefits and resources accruing to the local Aboriginal population from business activities, skills training and development, and employment.

This proposed relationship arrangement shall be one of cooperation.  If  I.W. Kuhn is awarded a contract and requires manpower and services, we will employ the available manpower and services of our Aboriginal partners.  Conversely, our Aboriginal partners will offer I.W. Kuhn an opportunity to participate in projects they initiate or are awarded.  In the event another contractor  is working in their area, our Aboriginal partner would not be bound by any agreement with I.W. Kuhn, and I.W. Kuhn would encourage and be happy to assist them, to offer that contractor assistance with his project.
